Duties

-Performs duties as the lead journeyman for a staff of three powerplant plant mechanics. -Serves as project lead for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydro-electric powerplants, pumping plant, and support structures and equipment. -Works with generators, large pumps, mechanical governors, large butterfly valves, piping systems (water, pneumatic, and oil), air compressors, radial gates, fixed-wheel gates, and gantry and overhead cranes. -Communicates information and instructions to team members. -Monitors and performs mechanical maintenance, which includes welding, pipefitting, machining, and crane and rigging operations. -Monitors progress of monthly and annual work orders for accuracy and completion.
