Duties

Assisting the EHSE Director in development and implementation of the APHC/EHSE Strategic Plans and performance measurement vehicles such as Review and Analyses. Review requests from the Installation Management Command (IMCOM), Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Office of The Surgeon General (OTSG), other APHC Divisions and Directorates (matrixed support), and other customers for delivery of services. Coordinate Division efforts and services with the Army Secretariat, Army Staff, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (OACSIM), U.S. Army Environmental Command (USAEC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Directs work of 25 or more personnel through three or more subordinate supervisors who are delegated authority to direct their work units and employees. Develop program plans, policies, objectives, priorities, and schedules; plans, programs, budgets, and executes resources; and executes appropriate position management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Up to %25 Business Travel is required.

Specialized Experience: Must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: assigning work to personnel; assisting with developing environmental health program objectives, policies and procedures; and assuring compliance with safety and security regulations.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipPolicy DevelopmentScientific Research Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
