About the Position: You will assist Realty Specialists in the day-to-day management of existing leases, amendments and supplements to leases with all required exhibits including legal surveys, title work, bills of sale and other conveyance documentation and environmental reports for the Military Housing and Privatization Initiative (MHPI) Center of Expertise, and Military and Civil Programs.

Duties

Obtain and compile information for Ground Lease and Compliance Inspections and Annual Lease Compliance Reports for multiple sites for use of Government land for private housing projects. Prepare documents including Rights-of-Entry and Indemnification for the MHPI Residential Communities Initiative program and Privatized Army Lodging programs. Process the lease and/or supplemental agreement required for review by a realty specialist. Assist in researching authorities and legal requirements for various documents for execution by the Real Estate Contracting Office/HQUSACE Director of Real Estate. Investigate minor claims for rent, damages and restoration payments incident to the use and occupancy of real estate. Perform all administrative and support functions for the MHPI group including travel; time and attendance; formatting and distribution of correspondence; preparation of briefings and presentations; and filing, retrieval, and maintenance of documents. Compile numbers, perform calculations, create charts and spreadsheets for presentation.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. GS-7: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Analyzing, researching, and examining various documents and records to include leases, legal descriptions, ownership data, real estate regulations and policy; Compiling information for the preparation of documents concerning real estate privatization actions and reports; Utilizing practical knowledge of Residential Communities Initiative (RCI), Privatized Army Lodging (PAL) and Unaccompanied Personnel Housing (UPH) programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06) Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
