Salary: $53 947 - 70 133 per year

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC), Funds Control/Admin Services Staff Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will formulate budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and report obligations and expenditures. You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying budgetary policies, procedures and regulations. Experience utilizing administrative and financial management systems. Experience analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems, developing alternative methods of funding and formulating budget estimates for programs. Experience applying analytical reasoning.
