About the Position: This position is located at the HQS USA TNG Center & FT Jackson Soldier Support Institute Adjutant General School. This position is a Term position and can be extended up to a maximum of six years and may be made permanent without further competition. Army employees who accept a time-limited appointments (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended.

Duties

Serves as a training instructor using a professional and technical knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of training and education. Designs and develop training on the Point-of-Sale System Terminal and other related postal applications in the Postal Training Activity (IPTA) Program of Instruction POIs. Provides platform and practical instructions to joint service members and DA Civilians attending the IPTA Department of Defense (DoD) Postal School to be trained in the military basic and supervisory postal retail and operations courses. Serves as a resource person and researches, evaluates, and develops training materials, standards, guides, methods, and aids.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: 1) performing the full scope of personnel administration activities; 2) providing platform and practical instructions to personnel assigned to the department; 3) maintaining responsibility for all classrooms, materials, and equipment within the organization AND 4) attending training classes on computers and other automated equipment as required by management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program AdministrationEducation Consultation, Coaching and CollaborationEducational and Training Technology Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
