You will serve as a Program Manager in the Current Operations for the Manpower, Personnel and Training PMS 525 of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.

Duties

You will serve as the site lead for the facility. You will manage the operations of the training facility, staff and instructors as well as all installed MMSC training sytems. You will manage t the curriculum design and delivery. You will serve as the Security Manage, complying with with DoD and USN requirements for the protection of classified information up to the SECRET level. You will work closely with Navy International Programs Office, Naval Education and Training Command Security Assistance Field Activity and United States Military Training Mission Naval Forces Division to implement the MMSC Training Program. You will analyze situations, identify problems, probe causes and select courses of action for subordinate managers to pursue. You will provide goals, objectives, program and general guidance for operations consistent with higher level framework/guidance. You will identify requirements and defines scope of projects which comprise the overall acquisition program. You will endorse budget inputs, including supporting justification. You will communicate program activities in a variety of written and oral forums at all levels internal and external to the organization. You will keep abreast of actions, studies and projects being carried out by Department of Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DoD) elements that affect platforms or systems.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band NH-03 (GS-13) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing, operating, or curriculum design/delivery to ensure staff, instructors and training systems are current for ship, submarine, carrier, ship system or weapon systems.
