About the Position: Serves as Supervisor of a section within the Transition Center responsible for 5 to 10 personnel GS-06 and below. Ensures that separation documents for officers and enlisted soldiers are prepared and distributed. Manages, plans, implements and administers the Installation's Transition Management Program.

Duties

Supervises a section within the Transition Center responsible ensuring that separation documents for officers and enlisted soldiers are prepared and distributed. Plan, direct, coordinate and conduct separation briefings. Coordinating records search from other military departments for missing information for Active Duty, National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve, and joint services. Manages, plans, implements, and administers the Installation's Transition Management Program. Performs or directs separation interviewing to include establishing soldier personnel files, auditing of military personnel records jacket (MPRJ) for verification of separation eligibility, and separation orders preparation.

Requirements

  • A favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required for this position.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position requires a 1-year Supervisory Probationary period.
