You will serve as a Lead Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment/Placement) in the AUTOMATION & INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT (Code 20) of OCHR STENNIS OPERATIONS CENTER.

Duties

Serves as troubleshooter and technical consultant with independent responsibility for resolving controversial and complex pay problems and providing technical assistance, training, and solutions to problems. Verifying the accuracy of personnel actions and other personnel documents prior to authorizing said actions; responsible for ensuring pay problems are resolved in a timely manner and serving as principal liaison with payroll offices. Submits CANYON tickets, with supporting documentation, to remove adverse actions from DCPDS, eOPF, and other systems that apply. Ensure the actions input into DCPDS flow to payroll successfully. A senior member of the Pay Hotline Team by applying technical expertise in reviewing and processing a comprehensive range of actions generally affecting pay. Develops and updates training materials and standard operating procedures (DCPDS and DCPS) covering a wide range of personnel processing requirements and conducts or oversees the presentations Applies comprehensive knowledge of DCPDS and its interface with other systems to troubleshoot, conduct extensive research and provide solutions to routine and complex issues.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Use personnel management regulations, and procedures to identify interrelated pay problems and recommend appropriate courses of action. 2) Use written and oral communications to prepare and present findings regarding difficult personnel issues. 3) Develop and provide program training and prepare instructions. 4) Use Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), the interrelationship with the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS), and the pay setting section of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to research and identify pay problems.
