About the position: This position will be assigned to the Roadrunner Inn, Kirtland AFB, NM. This position will be filled as Regular Part Time employment category. Regular Part Time guarantees 20 hrs/wk and may be eligible for benefits such as Medical/Dental, Group Life, 401(k), and AFNAF Retirement. Tour of duty will include weekends & holidays, varyious shifts (day, evening, and night), and may rotate frequently. Schedule flexibility of selected individual(s) is highly desired.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to operate motor vehicles with gross vehicle weight of up to 10,000 pounds. Operates a variety of motor vehicles including pickup trucks, panel trucks, flatbed trucks, carryalls, sedans, crew cab pickup trucks, jeeps and station wagons that weigh up to 10,000 pounds, for transport of personnel, supplies, materials, or equipment and tools throughout the installation. Performs operator maintenance, such as checking fluid levels, air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing vehicles. Loads or assists in loading, unloading, and arranging cargo. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires the incumbent to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical examination.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have a valid, current state driver's license, or the ability to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing up to 10,000 pounds. Must be able to load and arrange cargo. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be physically able to frequently handle objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Must be able to exert light physical effort in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Skill in driving in various weather conditions strongly desired. Self-starter and highly-motivated individual(s) highly preferred.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
