You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Office of the ASSTSECNAV M-RA WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

You will serve as Staff Director to the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs). You will prepare point papers, reports, briefings, correspondence, etc., in support of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Manpower and Reserve Affairs) (ASN) and PDASN You will be responsible for planning, programming and directing the operations of the office of the ASN, at the direction of the PDASN. You will independently exercise wide latitude and judgment in the planning, conducting, and reporting on highly complex and ambiguous assignments utilizing untested methods and procedures to resolve systemic problems impacting the organization. You will serve as a primary strategic communications point of contact within the OASN (Manpower and Reserve Affairs), ensuring strategic direction and priorities are communicated internally and externally. You will manage administrative activities including human resources, information technology procurement, financial and property management and internal controls to develop a highly complex plan of action to resolve issues across the organization. You will analyze and advise on policies and procedures to make complex decisions with often incomplete, conflicting or ambiguous information to resolve one-of-a-kind issues.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience includes preparing and presenting briefings and presentations to high level personnel providing advice and recommendations; analyzing complex issues to develop organizational objectives and short/long range program goals; AND interpreting policy and procedures to resolve problems and ensure compliance in personnel, budget, and facility requirements that may impact the organization.
