You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Inspection Division of the Quality Assurance Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will plan, execute and maintain a systematic comprehensive and economical non-nuclear inspection program for the Shipyard. You will improve work process and utilize manpower and material resource effectively and efficiently. You will ensure that manpower and material cost are directly linked to program mission objectives the expenditures remain within approved budget levels. You will manage the development of lessons learned on quality problems to ensure applicable information has been provided to project management teams for risk assessment and mitigation. You will evaluate the nature of the work to be performed based on work authorizing documents, consider strategy, cost effectiveness, and the use of human resources.

Requirements

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing or directing quality assurance programs related to the repair and overhaul of naval ship systems and components.
