About the Position: The incumbent serves as an Investigative/Criminal Intelligence Analyst for the Army Threat Integration Center to the Antiterrorism Division of the Office of the Provost Marshal General. Incumbent is responsible for researching and analyzing threats posed by terrorist groups, homegrown violent extremist and insider threat in direct support of the Office of the Provost Marshal General.

Duties

Provide terrorism threat indicators and warning capabilities on criminal intelligence. Provide terrorist threat warning and situational awareness reports to senior leadership. Analyze and evaluate all available criminal/military intelligence threat information collected. Extract and organize statistical data for the Army Threat Integration Center. Disseminates data through the Army Threat Integration Center product lines and Alert Notices. Conducts a wide variety of analysis to detect trends and predict potential terrorist attacks.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent will be required to a complete a SF 312 Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement.
  • Incumbent of this position is required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance with Special Compartmented Information access.
  • Incumbent of this position must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Position requires 10-15% temporary duty travel away from the office.
  • Position requires shift work which includes Federal Holidays, nights, and weekends.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing the Army's terrorism threat indicators and warnings capability; evaluating incoming criminal /military intelligence threat data and information; maintaining a thorough knowledge of updated criminal/military intelligence developments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsPublic Safety and SecurityTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
