About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) Director, US Army Sustainment Command who outlines work and provides broad general policies, objectives, and priorities and who is available to discuss problems and/or new policies, long-range plans, and special projects.

Duties

Serve as the Installation Transportation Officer (ITO) and Chief of the Transportation Division. Develop and prepare proposed local policies and regulations concerning the equipment authorization program and applications to local contractors. Provide transportation support services to military, government civilian and contractor personnel assigned to military units, garrison, and tenant activities within the geographic area of responsibility (AOR). Provide guidance to appointed Commercial Travel Office (CTO) and Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Contracting Officers Representative and Alternate Contracting Officers Representative (COR/ACOR). Coordinate itineraries with installation staff and directorates for senior level officials and high priority visitors such as Commanding Generals, Congressional. Ensure that Internal Control Review Checklists (ICRCs) are applied and operating to afford timely updates and status on all material weaknesses.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This position may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Managements (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
