This position is located within the NAF Support Services Division supporting both Fort Hunter Liggett and Camp Parks, CA. This position can be located at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Camp Parks OR Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. This announcement will have a first cut-off date of December 27, 2023. Duties

Analyzes the monthly and yearly results of accounting transactions upon the financial posture of a small to medium installation MWR and Lodging funds. Supervises lower graded budget analysts, assistants, and management analysts. Interprets the effects of such transactions. Applies accounting concepts when rendering financial guidance to managers and division chiefs. May audit policies, programs, methods and procedures. Responsible for development and formulation of the annual operating budget to include the five-year plan and narrative. Reviews and interprets budget guidance for consolidation of estimates and develops instructions based on new guidance. Evaluated financial statements and prepares recurring financial reports for presentation to the fund manager and the installation commander. Serves as technical expert in the matters of financial resources. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Shift will generally be Monday-Friday, 0730-1630. However, will be required to work occasional nights and weekends when mission requires.
  • Driver's License will be required if operating a government vehicle.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties described above using the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience in internal review or auditing field is required as a minimum. Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade/level. Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred Criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit. Minimum of two (2) years experience developing NAF budgets for multiple DFMWR programs. Possess a bachelor's degree in a Financial Management related field (i.e. Accounting, Economics, Finance). Minimum of two (2) years experience developing and inspecting internal control procedures. Minimum of two (2) years experience reviewing Rec Trac/CYMS financial reports (DAR's, Household balances, etc).
