Serves as a Cashier (Host) in the Koko at Kalia Department of the Hale Koa Hotel. This position will remain open until filled with a first cutoff date of December 19, 2023 for employment consideration. Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager. Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.

Duties

Greets guests as they enter the restaurant, cafe, dining room, etc. and check for authorized identification. Escorts guests to table and provides menus. May make suggestions on menu items, answer questions and advises wait-help of any special request. Answers phone for guest request for take out orders or other information. Package the take out orders and accept payment for the order. Performs cashier duties by receiving monies due, issuing change and receipts, and completing related cash control forms. Incumbent may use personal computers or terminals to perform routine standardized tasks.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required upon appointment
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position
• Satisfactory completion of employment verification (E-Verify) check
• One year probationary period may be required
• A physical examination may be required
• Must be able to obtain a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and various hours of the day and week when required.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.

Qualifications

1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at a level to complete required tasks. 2. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
