Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Program Analyst, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Providing the ORR Refugee Programs with analysis and evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of national refugee resettlement program operations, practices, and systems. Making recommendations that address issues impacting the division's ability to accomplish its mission. Coordinating the division's strategic planning process, needs assessments, program evaluation, and other initiatives that promote intentional and proactive program management. Participating in administrative management projects at the request of the DRA Director or ORR Director that impact program operations. Assisting senior Refugee Programs analysts with internal policy guidance and technical assistance on the business practices, grants management activities, and interpretation of Federal laws, and regulations as they pertain to assigned ACF/ORR program activities. Providing policy guidance to grantees and ensures compliance with all program requirements.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following: Evaluating national refugee program operations and/or performance results to determine deficiencies and/or needed changes in operations or policies to improve services to refugee communities. Analyzing broad and multi-faceted management, budget, and operational problems to provide advice to higher-level officials based on findings. Developing presentations, briefing materials, or talking points for use by senior leaders. Administering grants and/or overseeing grant recipients that provide assistance and/or services to refugees and/or new populations. Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. WE WILL NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS REGARDING YOUR EXPERIENCE. Qualifications are based on breadth/level of experience. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
