You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist of RLSO SE JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will maintain compliance of all post-trial processing. You will accompany attorneys during litigation and assist in the organization of witness testimony, presentation of evidence, and research for trial memoranda. You will maintain regular contact with law enforcement agencies. You will act as a court reporter and maintain appropriate recording logs in court for court-martial proceedings. You will serve as a liaison between trial counsel and chief judge.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying advanced knowledge of legal principles and concepts, and skill in interpreting a body of laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or precedents. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Preparing forms, standard legal documents, and routine correspondence; 2) Conducting investigations and information gathering, such as interviewing law enforcement and potential witnesses, to determine pertinent facts; 3) Acting as a court reporter and maintaining appropriate recording logs; 4) Delivering presentations/trainings regarding legal or administrative procedures. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.

OR

Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

OR

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
