You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Logistics Integration Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will provide overall life cycle management of Suspension and Release Equipment, Life Cycle Logistics, Product Support Planning and weapons support equipment. You will manage weapons Joint Technical Data (JTD) development, verification, and sustainment efforts. You will integrate horizontally and vertically across the JPO IPTs. You will be adept in reliability, maintainability, and life cycle logistics and have the knowledge of requirements, capability, and procurement processes. You will have detailed, intensive knowledge of the policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations and guidelines of the functional area.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Logistics Management Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Performing work related to total life cycle logistics support management; (2) Drafting logistics documentation such as a life cycle sustainment plan; (3) Performing work related to logistics budget formulation and execution; (4) Communicating with numerous stakeholders internal and external to the program office; and (5) Analyzing logistics supportability data.
