About the Position: The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12/13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

Duties

Author/comment on Supply Support Agreements or Life Cycle Logistics Plans, and Transition to Sustainment documentation from a Communications Security (COMSEC) perspective. Interacts with Program Manager and ILSC leadership to plan, develop, or manage integrated logistics activities forward. Ensure that relevant programs are in place to accomplish the Center’s Integrated Sustainment Logistic Production and Readiness mission. Gather a variety of data to analyze relationships between technical aspects of the total Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategy. Review and provide input to the acquisition or ILS plans, interpreting policy/regulatory guidance, item unique identification/serial number tracking, managing shelf life, and its impact on the Center’s logistics responsibility. Provides advice and guidance to Center directorates to findings and evaluations and recommends corrective actions where appropriate. Convenes and chairs meetings to assure timely accomplishments and resolves differences between military services/agencies to achieve ILS objectives. Responds to Command or higher headquarters inquiries regarding logistics-related goals and objectives. Interacts with headquarters staff, center directorates, higher headquarters, and other agencies to analyze data and develop position papers, reports, and briefings covering a wide range of logistics topics. Tracks and analyzes Centers performance indicators/metrics to detect trends and isolate causes for declining performance. Monitors or establishes deadlines, priority programs, and operation trends. Develops innovative depot repair processes and procedures considering all the functional areas. Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion. Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization. Trains or arranges for the training of team members. Intercedes with the supervisor on behalf of the team to inform the supervisor of performance management issues/problems and to recommend/request related actions. Maintains program and administrative reference materials, project files, and relevant background documents and makes available policies, procedures, and written instructions from the supervisor. Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required. Intercedes with the supervisor on behalf of the team.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Foundational certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.
