The primary purpose of this position is to serves as a Management and Program Clerical Assistant within the 709th Support Squadron at the Air Force Technical Applications Center, Patrick AFB, FL and serves to cover squadron level administrative analytical and evaluative work related to program operations, and management and organizational efficiency. ** Salary ranges includes local market supplements **

Duties

- Assists with analytical work and produces periodic studies and reports to advise squadron leadership on programs assigned the squadron. - Manages the squadron budget process to include its GPC program. - Helps squadron leadership to analyze and evaluate (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of squadron program operations by gathering information from each of the squadron's flights to create monthly and quarterly metrics report. - Quarterly or as needed, working with flight leadership, reviews squadron manning status against approved manning document, and based on known needs, reports any current or projected shortcomings to squadron leadership.

Qualifications

This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of management principles, processes, and analytical techniques for assessing operations and developing strategies for operational improvements and efficiencies; knowledge of a body of established clerical or technical procedures and requirements related to the assigned management and/or program analysis duty or task. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Practical knowledge of management principles, processes, and analytical techniques for assessing operations and developing strategies for operational improvements and efficiencies. 2, A practical knowledge of a body of established clerical or technical procedures and requirements related to the assigned management and/or program analysis duty or task. 3. Ability to conduct studies and analysis, use effective qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information, and prepare/present findings to senior leaders. 4. Requires an understanding of basic USAF/AFTAC budgetary & financial management principles and techniques to include the Government Purchase Card program. 5. Ability to use one or more established automated systems to enter, correct, and retrieve factual information, compile reports, produce charts and graphs, or monitor project or program status. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A nondisclosure agreement must be signed. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
