About the Position: Serves as the General Supply Specialist (hand receipt manager) for the United States Army Human Resources Command (AHRC) with responsibility of maintaining hand receipt accountability for over 26,000 separate line items valued at over 72 million dollars. Responsible for providing staff direction and technical guidance to one or more elements of the Command in supply management.

Duties

Maintains formal and informal accounting for Non-expendable and durable accountable properly using Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-ARMY). Assists hand receipt holders and management in assuring that all equipment is properly accounted for and assigned on hand receipt that reflects proper authorization documents ensuring that all pertinent property control entries as required. Provides technical assistance to customers concerning all non expendable and durable equipment. Audits property transactions to assure compliance with regulatory requirement and proper justification. Assures a document register control system for non-expendable property requests including document register. Ensures that all primary hand receipt holders are properly trained and that periodic inventories and audits using approved methods are used to update and/or adjust hand receipt records.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a pre-placement medical and annual medical surveillance exam in accordance with Occupational Health requirements.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service which includes direct and manage procurement procedures, actions and processes, ensure compliance with directives and policies; review accuracy and validity of requisitions, accountability, receipts, and records of expendables and non-expendable and durable supplies; and compose a variety of correspondence, format, proof and edits reports, presentations and briefings using various software. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: accounting, business, and logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. In addition, if your step reflects, '00' you must include your current salary for each position.
