About the Position: Serves as the Security Officer (Antiterrorism) for the US Army Garrison, Alaska (USAG-AK) in support of the Protection, Force Protection, and Mission Assurance Programs. Duties

Directs the development, implementation, and operation of an integrated Antiterrorism (AT) program. Provides planning advice to the Garrison Commander and Senior Commander on resource prioritization, new policies, resolution of complex vulnerabilities, crisis management, and possible threats to the garrisons. Conducts comprehensive review and analysis of the garrison's AT plan, assessments, and survey reports for compliance with existing policies, procedures and supporting documents. Coordinates with Intelligence and Law Enforcement Agencies to develop Threat, Risk, Vulnerability, and Criticality Assessments.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
• This position is considered Mission Essential.
• This is a designated Key Position.
• This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program and requires SPeD certification within two years of employment.
