This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Immediate Office of the Assistant Secretary (IOAS), Office on Trafficking in Persons (OTIP), located in Washington DC, District of Columbia. Duties

Supports OTIP policies and programs to ensure that the psychological, sociological, and human service needs for victims of human trafficking, their families, and their communities are addressed as efficiently and effectively as possible. Supports the process of awarding new grants, cooperative agreements, and/or contracts including drafting and/or providing comments to program announcements, or contract statements of work that define performance requirements and objectives of the OTIP program and the qualifications required by grantees or contractors in meeting those requirements. Works with awardees to provide support for data collection, program evaluation, and dissemination of activity reports that ensure that services, products, processes, and technical assistance activities are high quality, clearly communicated, and responsive to the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Transmits information to grantees and other partners on OTIP activities, including discussion and clarification of various issues and concerns and the dissemination of relevant Federal laws and regulations, program policies and procedures, decisions, and findings to ensure compliance with all program requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Basic Requirement: You must meet one of the items listed below (A, B, or C): A. Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (Must provide transcripts) B. Possess a combination of education and experience -- that provided you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (Must provide transcript) C. Possess four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Specialized Experience: GS-12: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: Developing, implementing, and/or monitoring policies and procedures for human trafficking programs; Conducting studies on issues related to human trafficking; Providing technical assistance on human trafficking program challenges; Monitoring compliance with grant or contract requirements for human trafficking programs.
