About the Position: Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC, centrally located in the beautiful state of NC, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Serves as a Supervisory Supply Specialist for the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) under the general supervision of the Support Branch Chief. Plans, directs and supervises the work of employees assigned to the section. Serves as the central point of contact for requisitioning, receipt, storage, issue, inventory management and maintenance of equipment and supplies for the organization. Supervise civilian employee performing various technical and support duties such as small arms repair and fleet management. Reviews and certifies job descriptions and prepares performance appraisals. Resolves problems of employee relations and morale, referring with recommendations only the more serious problems to supervisor. Responsible for requisition, receipt, storage, issue, inventory, and disposal of property, equipment ammunition accounts and supplies, ranging from publications and general office supplies. Responsible for signing for and managing real property. Establishing and managing a facility key control program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Employee shifts may be rotated on a regularly scheduled basis. May include coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position is designated as Key. The position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the mission.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
