About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This position is located at the Hawthorne Army Depot with responsibility to manage and perform various administrative duties for the Quality Assurance Division. This is a Public Notice for positions being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c).

Duties

Research, create, edit, and reformat data for reports and correspondence required by regulations and higher headquarters. Use database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort or calculate, and retrieve data for standard or special reports. Track program requirements to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Prepare travel orders and assist with travel vouchers. Perform requisitioning and supply management, and maintain supply inventory. Manage time and attendance records. Track expenditures and analyze spending trends.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must be able to meet the Office of Personnel Management typing proficiency requirement (40 WPM).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work experience performing at least one of the following administrative office functions: scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings for organization, performing travel, timekeeping and/or supply management functions; must also have experience in accessing or locating information through the use of a personal computer and the ability to create spreadsheets and/or correspondence using software programs. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below: Completed 9 semester hours of graduate level education directly related to the work of this position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts). OR Combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience described above may be used to meet the total qualification requirements at the GS-06 level.
