THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAINING SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD0925000 and is part of the KY 238 RTI, National Guard.

Duties

As a TRAINING SPECIALIST - TITLE 32, GS-1712-9, you will assist the Training Administrator with various aspects of operations. Review data in the Army Training Requirement and Resource System (ATRRS) for appropriate input/output procedures, accuracy and quality assurance. Use Training Management Systems such as ATRRS, the Individual Training Requirements Module (ITRM), Total Army School System (TASS), etc. Assist in managing Distance Learning Programs. Identify and implement modifications of Programs of Instruction (POI) IAW regulations and requirements. Ensure that training support materials and training aids are consistent with the POI. Assists in preparing training schedules, directives and materials. Maintain and update training support material/reference files. Maintain liaison with the Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) proponent schools, National Guard Bureau (NGB) and other TASS organizations. Prepare instructors after action reports. Plan and schedule instructor proficiency classes. Participate in planning and developing training programs. Respond to inquiries regarding admission requirements and procedures necessary for enrollment in programs. Assist in preparing projected training budgets. Monitor use of mandays to ensure cost effectiveness and conformance to regulations. Prepare documents for student participation and notify appropriate command of those students who did not attend training. Ensure all student records are prepared IAW regulations and distributed for assessment and accreditation. Coordinate with the Public Affairs Officer regarding press releases and media coverage of RTI events. Coordinate support personnel requirements. Coordinate the acquisition and documentation of proponent and POI required equipment, instructional material and general supplies. Assist in the management of environmental programs and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Must have knowledge and understanding of the Army education and training programs and policy requirements. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience conducting, supervising, and/or developing education or training programs. Experience with audio-visual presentation, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques. Experience scheduling training events and facilities. Experience writing and maintaining reports and records. Experience may include training techniques, instruction methods, task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, education and training systems, effective writing skills, editing practices, instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
