This position will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Lodging .This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs./week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Duties

Directly responsible for all aspects of lodging groups that uses over 10 or more rooms. Coordinates a wide variety of details, including but not limited to, room assignment, provision of special support items, and requirements for groups staying in quarters on and off base. Because of the type of operations and high level of guests, constant demands are made by short notice visitors and changes in priorities and plans. Reviews the arrival list and other documents for reservations and blocks rooms when necessary for protocol or early arrivals. Works closely with reservation on group bookings. Develops and maintains relationships with client after group has been blocked. Confirms in writing to the client and all affected departments all requirements with weekly group resume. Monitors room blocks and pick-up for all groups through room lists and cut-off dates for all bookings. Assist lodging staff with tours of the facilities. Assists in budget process for projected group reservations. Works closely with Housekeeping Managers to insure availability of clean room and quality and appearance of items such as furniture, room equipment, curtains, carpets, bedding and linen, etc. Inspects room and insures any corrections are made before guest arrival. Provides expert advice to Lodging Manager protocol matters. Coordinates with Protocol and Reservations on long range planning for all group requirements. Establishes a calendar of events for advanced scheduling, visits, conferences and ceremonies, etc. Attends meetings with Protocol. Personally greets groups and presents a neat, professional appearance at all times. Maintains records in all group quarters to track usage, problems and requirements, etc. Maintains friendly, helpful and welcoming attitude and atmosphere for guests at all times. Solves guest problems and concerns at the lowest possible level and gives priority to resolve them quickly and discreetly. Maintains close coordination with Guest Service Managers and staff, Housekeeping Managers and staff, and proper protocol for all situations. Interacts and follows up with General Manager on a daily basis. Uses computer to record and track information. Ensures proper verbiage is used when answering the telephone. Irregular tour of duty to include evenings, weekends and holidays. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
