Duties

You will review customer requirements for technical accuracy to process material orders and requisitions. You will use a database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort, calculate, or retrieve data for supply reports. You will accomplish document control work (e.g., processing receipts, adjusting documents etc.) according to established organizational supply policies and procedures. You will review purchase request to confirm appropriate purchases. You will brief management on the status, updates, or other business information regarding supplies or material. You will determine stock levels required to fulfill projects, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletions. You will type shipping documents (e.g., barcodes, manifests, shipping labels) to confirm that packages are delivered to the correct location.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This is a Bargaining Unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You may be recalled to duty.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing supply support work (e.g. receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing supplies); determining stock levels; conducting inventories; utilizing automated supply systems or programs; AND locating more cost effective and/or new substitute products.
