This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Military Technician position is with the Army Reserve Aviation Command, Aviation Support Facility Hood West (Rotary Wing) located at Fort Cavazos, Texas.

• THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
• This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
• This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an without more than normal supervision. Maintaining and repairing rotary wing aircraft engines to include portions of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and a variety of less complex maintenance functions. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical effort: Must be able to stand for long periods of time; or endure recurring activities such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Must possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is performed inside shops, aircraft, or outside in varying weather conditions. Exposed to high frequency and high intensity noises. Dirt, dust, grease, and fumes are normally present. Danger of the possibility of cuts, burns, shocks, strains, falls, and eye or skin irritations is possible.
