Duties

The Deputy Director for the MILCOMM and PNT Transition Division manages a diverse team of military, civilian, and contractor personnel across engineering, operations, and program management functional areas in support of program transition into operations for the MILCOMM and PNT acquisition portfolio. The Deputy Director is responsible for day-to-day management of team activities and is charged with engaging external organizations such as the operations squadrons, various program offices, other government agencies, and prime contractors. The primary operating location for the Transition Division is Schriever Space Force Base, CO with potential travel to Los Angeles AFB, prime contractor locations, or alternate operating locations on an adhoc basis.

• Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall. Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises,
• (cont) contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• This position is eligible for situational telework, 2-4 days per pay period.
• PCS funding is authorized.
