About the Position: This position supports the Army Logistics Directorate in Evans Army Community Hospital on Fort Carson, CO. This is a TERM position, not to exceed 13 months.

Duties

Expresses ideas and facts to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations, listens to others; facilitates an open exchange of ideas. Apply an in-depth understanding of electronic theory, mechanical theory, pneumatic theory, clinical application of medical devices, and medical standards. Identify and analyze the conditions affecting problems with testing, modifying, troubleshooting or maintaining medical equipment systems. Conduct testing to insure operability, efficiency, and compliance with existing standards and monitors operation of network inter operable medical systems, ensuring hardware and software are functioning properly and operating standards are met.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Annual seasonal influenza immunization required due to working in a medical facility.
• Must be in possession of a valid Stateside Drivers License at the beginning and duration of employment.
• May work uncommon tour of duty - (i.e. on call)
• Required to obtain and maintain A+ Certification and maintain certification in accordance with DoD or Army Guidance.
• May be required to handle and/or insure proper disposal of hazardous material.
