About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Duties

Provide supply and procurement support to all elements within the assigned nursing tower, ancillary block, operating and recovery rooms, critical care units, and/or outpatient clinics on the floor. Ensure that all recurring demand items are incorporated into the system and that economical inventory levels are maintained. Review changes in demand, delivery schedules, changes in customer demand patterns and new equipment and supplies that create new supply requirements. Control and execute the Quality Control Program on the floor, maintains adequate records relating to recalls, suspension, and disposition of medical material.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
