About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), U.S. Military Academy, West Point. Located in the scenic Hudson River valley, only 50 miles from New York City, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point is a four-year academic institution, a nationally renowned historic site, and the oldest continuously occupied military post in America. The undergraduates, known as cadets, are commissioned as officers in the US Army upon graduation.

Duties

Requisitions, receives, distributes, and accounts for supplies, equipment, materials, and services. Edits requisitions and purchase requests checking for accuracy, completeness, and availability. Orders all expendable items using standardized, required, established forms, or a government credit card. Codes requisitions using appropriate Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS)/Non-STAMIS systems before forwarding. Answers inquiries regarding the status of requisitions, delivery of materials, reconciliations, turn-ins, supply discrepancy reports, and other questions received from customers. Investigates and reconciles routine and recurring discrepancies relating to actions such as receipt control, stock control, and inventory adjustments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). -OR- Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
