You will serve as a TRAINING ADMINISTRATOR in the SWFLANT, EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, ADMINISTRATIVE SECTION of SWFLANT KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will administer the Training Program in broad areas for both Civilian and Military personnel. You will work closely with department heads and command level officials to identify, develop and document long range training needs to meet current and future changes in command and department mission and human capital skill planning needs. You will manage education/training processes to include administrative policies and procedures, curricula, Certification requirements, instructional methods and techniques, training aids and devices, facilities, equipment, testing, and counseling. You will develop policy, instructions and procedures governing overall management of the Training Program. You will serve as the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Coordinator for both Civilian and Military personnel. You will provide management advisory and consulting services on a wide range of training matters for broad specialty areas and assigned functions. You will develop innovative and effective methods for training program improvements, conveys same to internal and external key staff members, and provides continuous advisories for program implementation. You will conduct assessments for technical, professional, managerial, administrative and/or trades for substantial segments of employee development functions.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-2 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing, and directing training programs that provide for the development/ advancement of individuals, support of command mission objectives, workforce staffing and skill requirements.
