This position entails responsibility for planning, coordinating, conducting, implementing the Regional Aviation Workforce and Education activities within the geographic area to which the incumbent is assigned.

Duties

The incumbent serves as the regional aviation workforce and education representative. He/she serves as a liaison to stakeholders, such as academia, government agencies, and aviation industry, organizations, associations and professional groups, and services as the conduit of information to the Regional Administrator, National AVSED (Aviation and Space Education) Program, Aviation Workforce Steering Committee.

• Travel Required: Occasionally (Domestic Only)

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-H, FG/GS-12 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS: Experience collaborating with stakeholders to organize and participate in outreach events aimed at diverse K-12 students in a classroom or as part of outreach events such as career days, booths at public events, and summer camps.AND;Experience communicating with a variety of audiences internal and external to an organization and/or agency, including students, educators, and industry.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
