Duties

This position starts at a salary of $112,015.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $145,617.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $145,617 (GS-13 Step 10). As a Management and Program Analyst (Acquisitions) your typical work assignments may include: Manages IT and Communications projects for FPS that provide national capabilities to support law enforcement and security of Federal facilities. Provides support of project plans for the development, procurement, deployment of business and law enforcement operations IT and communications systems. Responsible for program performance metrics to ensure project is executing within approved schedule, technical and cost and risk baseline. Plans, implement and manage a contract strategy to support the development or acquisition of FPS IT and Communications systems. Lead cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) responsible for the development or acquisition of FPS IT or Communications systems.

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Planning, scheduling, and conducting projects and studies aimed at improving the efficiency or effectiveness of program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel Composing written reports, which document findings of assessments, analyses and evaluations Providing oversight and monitors contract performance and takes necessary actions related to delays Providing advice and guidance regarding acquisition matters. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 09/01/2023.
