You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Warehousing Division of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will be responsible for various duties to include material handling, hazardous material management, receipt control, and packing and crating. You will be processing receipt documents for Stock, and Direct Turn Over and Material Turned into Stock through Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System in accordance with procedures delineated in desk guides. You will conduct extensive and exhaustive database searches to retrive and use data in response to various questions or problems to resolve data discrepancies. You will review, research, and resolve reports of non-deliveries, losses, damages, discrepancies, and computer generated rejects. You will perform a broad range of standard receiving standards and storage assignments. You will perform material handling duties including the use of tools and other equipment in a safe manner complying with established safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-06 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of Supply System policy, programs and procedures, involving receipt, transfer, storage, transportation, and handling of hazardous material and hazardous waste. Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Indicate stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing stock; 2) Determine sequence for loading materials and organizing incoming shipments for maximum space utilization, safety consideration and damage protection; 3) Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and/or an SAP Based System; 4) Review, research, and resolve reports of non-deliveries, losses, damages, discrepancies, and computer generated rejects; 5) Executing hazardous material and hazardous waste management efforts in compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
