You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Worldwide of NCIS.

Duties

You will serve as the subject matter expert for all Arms Ammunition and Explosives (AAE) requirements and managing the equipment and other materials needed to meet mission and operational goals. You will be responsible for control and inventory accountability of accountable property and allowance items utilized within the field office. You will ensure weapons are maintained under appropriate custodial and security conditions, while under Field Office control, and issues them as required to NCIS personnel. You will provide assistance in physical security, accountability, and customer service of NCIS Arms and Ammunition Programs. You will coordinate the NCIS Field Office direct exchange of leased vehicles and the purchase of new Navy owned vehicles, ensuring proper NCIS allotment for the Field Office is met.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • Any person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence cannot lawfully possess, ship, transport, or receive firearms or ammunitions (Title 18, U.S.C., Section 922(g)(91)).

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing the overall effectiveness of operations including passenger, cargo, and/or material handling equipment; Experience providing options and recommendations regarding future requirements and direction of the agency's ammunition selections, automated reporting technologies, and storage alternatives (e.g. procurement issues, feasibility of equipment, enhancement of existing systems, etc.); and Experience managing a fleet of law enforcement (LE) non-tactical vehicles (NTVs) to include Commercially Leased, General Services Administration (GSA), and/or leased undercover cars, vans, motorcycles, boats, and boat trailers. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE
FOR GS-11: SUCCESSFUL completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M. if related.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
