About the Position: This position is located in the Facilities Management Department, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. The purpose of this position is to provide quality Facilities Maintenance and Management services to the Naval Medical Center and storage areas lying within the Naval Hospital complex. The incumbent is responsible for managing the accomplishment of work requests, emergency and routine service calls, work orders, customer requests, and resolution of customer grievances.

Duties

Prepare projects details such as plans, sketches, and bills of material for establishment of short- and long-range work schedules. Allocate work to be performed by each work center based on information regarding manpower, equipment, and material availability. Coordinate schedule of work to be completed according to customer's schedule. Monitor work tickets submitted through Defense Medical Logistics System Support (DMLSS) automated ticket system. Supervise subordinate personnel in all aspects of position and performance such as scheduling, setting priorities, assigning work, and reviewing employee requests.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position may require the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.
  • This position may require the incumbent to complete a hepatitis screening.
  • This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
  • This position may require the incumbent to complete a one-year supervisory probationary period.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: organizational management or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer ServicePersonnel Security and Safety Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
