You will serve as an Equal Employment Specialist in the Command Deputy EEO Office (N02E) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Duties

You will perform the full range of specialized technical functions associated with the EEO program, including complaints processing, affirmative employment plan, special emphasis program management and related activities. You will review for determination if complaint falls within the purview of EEO regulations. You will work with employees and managers to reach resolutions that are mutually agreeable upon finalization. You will identify resolutions to problem areas and provide information to EEO Manager and other management officials in the interpretation of the legal requirements and procedural preparation, direction and implementation of the plans and reports. You will work with HR and Legal in order to receive valid data for compliance assessments. You will conduct EEO subject matter training to personnel, to insure understanding of roles and responsibilities; prepare course material, lesson plans and handouts to increase effectiveness of presentation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with processing informal and formal Equal employment Opportunity (EEO) complaints. Experience preparing case files on each complaint and insuring provision of logistical support for on-site investigations. Experience providing guidance to EEO Counselors in precomplaint inquiries and the Alternate Dispute Resolution process. Experience reporting and collecting data in order to complete the annual MD-715 report. Experience analyzing MD-715 and EEOC 462 Report data for barriers to the EEO program. Experience utililizing automated personnel systems such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS), Human Resource Management System (HRMS), and iComplaints to process EEO reports and extract data. Experience developing and conducting specialized briefings, orientations, and trainings for managers, supervisors, and employees on EEO program requirements.
