About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Memphis District, Operations Division, Navigation Branch. The incumbent is responsible for utilizing the authorities granted by the Contracting Division to ensure the availability of all necessary materials, services, and equipment required for marine repair activities and in support of ongoing MR&T missions.

Duties

Reconciles all purchase activities in accordance with procedures published by Contracting Division and Resource Management Office in the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS). Inspects, receives, and processes documentation for stock items and special manufactured items. Conducts and maintains inventory. Confers with District purchasing agents regarding product availability and delivery schedules. Places orders for replenishment of stock items and special manufactured items for immediate use utilizing an IMPAC card with up to $200K monthly expenditure authority or by coordinating requirements with Contracting Division.

  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
