About the Position: The mission of Devens Reserve Forces Training Area is to provide training facilities and training support to all military services, reserve and active. It is a small base, and is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, in a small, rural community. They offer many of the Soldiers' services found at larger bases including: Army Community Services (ACS), Fitness Center, the Federal Credit Union, and much more.

Duties

Maintains Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) property books and assists the Installation Property Book Officer (IPBO); manages primary hand receipts (PHRs) Prepares and edits requisitions, turn-ins, transfers, receiving reports, and other documents; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions, as needed; etc. Utilizes Army logistics systems. Reviews requests to ensure proper identification, cost, justification, and compliance with pertinent requisition procedures, to detect exact item identification, authorization of acceptable substitute items. Establishes descriptive nomenclature and line numbers for purchase of commercial non-type classified items using AESIP. Prepares for audit readiness assessments of GFEBS and integrates GCSS-A into business practices for the serviced area. Reviews Army Audit Readiness guidance to ensure organization meet compliance requirements. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting priorities and preparing schedules as necessary, assigns work to employees based on priority, critical expertise, capability and requirement of assignments.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06).
