About the Position: Conducts training instruction on a variety of system and non-system Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) using various methodologies and forms of presentation equipment. This position is located in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is co-located in Fayetteville, North Carolina a culturally diverse city centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Duties

Conducts Training Instruction on a variety of system and non-system Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) equipment utilizing various presentation material and methods. Advises, Instructs, and assists customers with scenario development and configuration of simulators on a variety collective and individual TADSS. Selects appropriate briefing and conduct tours based on demographic background and knowledge of current training equipment and unit requirements. Conducts unit level maintenance of TADSS, diagnose problems, troubleshoot equipment, and takes corrective actions as prescribed. Serves as the liaison to unit Leaders, Master Gunners, and Training NCOs on available services, processes, and procedures for TADSS utilization in support of unit training. Manages Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) systems for scheduling TADSS training. Records unit and individual operator utilization and qualifications in TS-MATS and maintains certification of Instructor Operator Training records. Maintain accountability of assigned equipment and assists primary hand receipt holder with disposal of obsolete TADSS as per TSO and ATSC instructions. Assist TSC warehouse with issue, turn-in, exchange and inventory of TADSS in support of unit exercises.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service which includes: instructing, operating, and certifying operators for Virtual Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulation (TADSS) to meet mission requirements; designing programs of instruction to fulfill education and training requirements; and selecting training aids and other supplemental training material to reinforce student interest and learning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityInstructional Delivery and Learner DevelopmentTraining Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
