About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. CCAD is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Duties

Develop and administer a depot-wide ASAP prevention and education program. Develop a depot-wide ASAP Prevention Education Plan of Instruction to include developing lesson plans for all training conducted for the ASAP training program. Serve as Command POC for Suicide Prevention and serve as local subject matter expert on Army policy/procedures related to suicide prevention. Coordinate with and assist the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator (EAPC) in the development and update of training curricula for civilian supervisors and employees. Serve as the alternate Drug Test Collector.

  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain Drug Test Certification (for both Military and Civilian drug testing) within one (1) year from the date of employment.
  • Incumbent must obtain Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Certification within one (1) year from the date of employment.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to be on call and may require working extended hours, weekends, evenings, and holidays to perform urinalysis testing and/or Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) testing.
  • This position requires obtaining and maintaining a government purchase card.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Sociology, Psychiatry, Political Science, Psychology, and Social History. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Developing and administering a Substance Abuse Prevention (SAP) and Education Program to include goals, objectives and/or milestones; Plan and develop training curriculum; Evaluate SAP training and education for continuous improvement; and training military, civilian members on substance abuse prevention and Suicide Prevention. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Sociology, Psychiatry, Political Science, Psychology, and Social history. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ComplianceEducation and TrainingOral CommunicationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
