Duties

Serves as a Supervisory Recreation Assistant directing and supervising diverse functions required to operate a fitness facility. Works under the Director, Sports, Fitness, and Aquatics. Supervisory duties include scheduling staff and facility events. Be involved in the hiring and counseling of staff to include evaluations and disciplinary procedures (quarterly and as needed). Coordinate staff training. Minor facility upkeep and maintenance/repair. Assigning facility custodial responsibilities to staff and shifts. Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Take and respond to suggestions/complaints of patrons. Disseminate information to patrons pertaining to Army regulations, facility procedures, and occasionally organize outside MWR events and happenings as requested by MWR. Maintaining facility budget. Inform immediate supervisor of problems/situations which cause concerns within programs and facilities. Follow guidance by upper administration. Complete tasks in a timely manner.
