About the Position: Perform inspection of packing, crating, loading, unloading, storing, and handling procedures of contract personnel to ensure adequate measures are taken to avoid damage to property and that contract/regulatory requirements are met.

Duties

Inspect contractors' work at owners' residences during pick-up and delivery. Ensure inventory is complete and report on any damage and/or missing items. Inspect contractor warehouses and facilities on a quarterly basis to determine storage methods are properly maintained and protected from the elements. Maintain carrier performance files for Carrier Evaluation and Reporting System (CERS)

I have the ability to perform common Packing Inspector duties such as inspecting contractor's work during pick-up, and delivery of personal items. I can inspect all phases of the contractor's performance during packing, crating, loading, shipping, and/or unpacking of personal items and briefing individuals on entitlements. I work under normal supervision of a work or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
