About the Position: Serves as Chief, Environmental Compliance Branch with full responsibility for implementing, administering and enforcing the Environmental Compliance Program for USARAK and the USAG-FWA military installation.

Duties

Serves as senior technical advisor and consultant to the installation and Directorate and staff concerning all environmental management and regulatory compliance matters. Plans, directs, monitors, executes and supervises the installation's environmental compliance program. Exercises authority over all aspects of the environmental regulatory compliance, environmental program management and stewardship management. Performs the full range of supervisory duties.

Basic Education Requirement for General Physical Science Series (1301): Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to one of the majors, as shown in A above, that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Specialized Experience Required: In addition to meeting the Basic Education Requirement Qualified Candidates for this position must also identify in their resume that they possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band (GS-12) in the federal service that demonstrates the following: managing an environmental program including permits, inspections, and enforcement actions in accordance with established state and federal regulations. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Environmental Compliance and Preventive ActionEnvironmental Policy and StrategyLeadershipTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
