Duties

Plans, organizes, leads, and controls the operation of one or more military personnel programs within the assigned area of responsiblity. Plans, directs, schedules and coordinates functions, work operations and activities. Instructs and directs employees to ensure they understand regulatory guidelines and current operational directives and policies. Prepares statistics for Branch Chief and Director of Human Resources in support of USAG-HI and IMCOM programs and objectives. Identifies the impact of changes on the policies and procedures of the installation and subordinate organizations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has been designated as a Key Position.
  • Must be able to perform up to 5% of temporary duty (TDY) travel.
  • Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed.

One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level which duties include 1) Providing information on military personnel rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; and 2) Utilizing military personnel automated systems to create reports. OR B. master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a LL.B. or J.D., if related , which has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts to your application package.) OR C. Specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have more than one year but less than the required education in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education above 1 year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts to your application package.) OR D. I have the experience as described in A AND the education described in B. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts to your application package.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ComplianceManages and Organizes InformationOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
