About the position: This position will be assigned to Strikers Bowling Center in Mountain Home AFB, ID. This is a Flexible work schedule, with no minimum guaranteed hours, however may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Frequently lifting objects weighing up to 40lbs, and occasionally lifting over 40 lbs. Continual standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing and bending.

Duties

Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing such as pancakes, sausage , eggs, hamburgers and fresh or canned vegetables. Prepares hot cereals , broiled meats; prepares and cooks concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies; makes cold sandwich fillings. Prepares convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets and chicken nuggets. Some cooks at this level prepare and bake pizza. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, paring, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring or breading; weighs, measures and assembles ingredients for regular menu items; sets up and replenishes salad bar; portions foods for distribution and meal service, and covers, dates and stores leftovers according to established procedures. Requirements

• This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
• This position has physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
• This position requires the incumbent to complete assigned training, to include Food Handlers certification, within specified time from date hire or assignment to position.

Ability to perform cleaning tasks such as cleaning kitchen utensils, work areas, floors, walls, etc. Ability to plan sequential steps in completing tasks. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
