Serves as the Deputy Director, NAS Systems Engineering and Integration Office, ANG-B001, reporting directly to the Director, ANG-B. The incumbent is responsible for guiding and integrating Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Systems Engineering research and development activities.

Duties

The Deputy Director provides full senior and high-level direction and leadership to a complex organization. The Deputy reports to and assists the Director of NAS Systems Engineering and Integration in the management, direction and coordination of system engineering programs and activities relating to the National Airspace Systems (NAS) Enterprise Architecture (EA).

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
  • One vacancy in either DC or NJ.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K, FG/GS 15. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Experience leading, providing expert advice, and developing engineering, scientific, and technology solutions to current and future air transportation challenges. Experience guiding applied research, development, test, and evaluation in collaboration with industry, academia, government, and international partners.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Applicants should provide examples of specialized experience in their work history.Some, all or none of the applicants may be interviewed.Security Clearance: Selection and placement are contingent upon waiver or completion of satisfactory security requirement for a non-critical/secret clearance.
